BIOGRAPHY
Nateepol Charoenthurayont (b. 1990, Chiang Mai) is a Thai artist recognized for his expertise in woodcut printmaking and painting. His distinctive style merges surrealism, cartoon influences, and pop art. Known for his vivid colors and imaginative designs, his artwork captivates audiences with stories reflecting his personal journey and perspective on life.
Nateepol discovered his passion for art early in life. Deeply inspired by Japanese manga from the 1980s and 1990s, he was drawn to their dynamic storytelling and bold visuals. This fascination became the foundation of his artistic identity and a driving force behind his commitment to creating meaningful art that resonates with both personal and cultural narratives.
Nateepol pursued a degree in Printmaking at Chiang Mai University’s Faculty of Fine Arts. There, he immersed himself in traditional woodcut techniques, an art form demanding precision, patience, and creativity. Over time, he expanded his artistic repertoire to include painting, blending both mediums to craft works that are visually striking and emotionally compelling.
Nateepol’s art is filled with vibrant colors, playful patterns, and imaginative characters set in surreal environments.
